Saving missions as plans

If you create a mission of the same type many times you can save its plan and then open this plan for quick mission creation on its basis. The button in Gattaca window is used for this purpose. Click it if you wish to save the current mission as a plan. The following dialog box will appear:

Plans and reports can be local and remote. If you create a remote plan or report they will be saved in the DATAMAP source and will be accessible from any computer.

Local plans and reports will be saved in the current directory on your computer and will be accessible for this computer only.

If the mission you want to save as a plan has parent missions you can save it in the same plan with the current mission.

    Type the plan name.

You should also indicate destination code of a mission/report for a plan. Destinations are enumerated in a separate table and are a characteristic of missions/reports grouping. Indicate real destinations or themes in it. In the Save plan dialog box destination list is located under a plan name. Three buttons above the destination list allow creating new destinations, edit or remove the existing ones. The button with the red arrow allows choosing the current in the list purposes code in mission plan properties.

    Click "Save".

Next time you can open the required plan and create a mission on its basis, instead of performing multiple manipulations in order to create a mission alike. Click the button in Gattaca window. Select the Local or Remote variant from the dropout menu, and there will appear a dialog box with the filter condition and query result in the same window.

If there are not so many saved plans, just click the Select button. If there are many plans, you will have to form plan selection condition and then click Select.

If you see the required plan in query results, select its string as current and click OK. Dataodyssey will create a new mission on this plan’s basis in a new window.

Summary mission plans can be used in reports.

You can remove a plan using \Mission\Delete mission plan… menu item. Before removing the program will check existing links to this plan from reports. If there are existing links, removing will be denied.
