The notion of “Data space” in Dataodyssey Express consists of two components:

Data sources |
Working data locations and the description of the means, used to access them. Dataodyssey works with data directly, without intermediate levels of storing or normalization. |

Mission models |
Detailed description of
mission models. Model description includes the list of tables of one
data source, which are necessary for mission realization, and the list
of
relations between these tables. Each table in a model must be linked
with the rest of the tables of a model directly or via other tables of
the same model. If you don’t link all
the tables of one model directly or indirectly, you’ll waste time,
losing drive space and nothing else! You can make several models for the
same tables in one data source. |
Before creating models, you must describe the data source. Data analyzing is performed only on the basis of models.
